The Accomplished Woman – #04

The “Accomplished Women” discovers her value and worth.

Proverbs 31:10 Who can find an accomplished woman? For her price (value) is far above rubies.

The true worth of the accomplished woman is compared to rubies, or some translations use the word pearls. To find a ruby or pearl it takes a lot of time and effort. You may conceivably have to travel a great distance and plumb great depths to recover pearls from the ocean floor.

A ruby is distinguished by its bright, red color. But besides its brilliant color, it is a most desirable gem because of its hardness, durability, luster, and rarity. Transparent rubies
of large sizes are even more rare than diamonds.

So to find an accomplished woman is indeed a great treasure. Treasure is discovered by those willing to dig. This is speaking of investing much time and discipline in the word and prayer and developing herself in the likeness of Christ. This takes place in obscurity and privacy. It will only come by developing a deep relationship with Him.

You have to get honest and deal with changes of the heart. This is where the pain and hurt live. This is a place where most people aren’t willing to go. It is like exploring and plumbing the depths of the ocean floor. But the commitment and willingness to go deep will draw out all the hidden traits and beauty that lie within you.

So many women today don’t know their value. They measure worth with outward appearance and base their personal appraisal on the opinions of others. But your true value will only be found in your relationship with Jesus.

He is the one that created you. He understands your abilities, capacities, even your weaknesses and heart like no one else ever will, and your value to Him is not based on the way you look.

1 Peter 3:3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel.

Rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

Rubies and are not discovered lying on top of the ground. They’re too valuable. If you are going to find a ruby you have to dig. It takes some work. Rubies must be mined for.

It takes choices and heart changes to become a ruby for God! But after the digging is done and the cleanup is over you will discover something. It was worth it. You  will only find your true you by discovering the One who created you to be. So grab a shovel. It’s time to start digging.

Make a daily confession based on Psalms 139:14…I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My value is far above rubies!!
