Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone. Welcome to 2021. So what does the new year hold for us? No doubt we see many challenges on the horizon both nationally and globally. So as believers in Jesus Christ what do we need to focus on as we enter this new year? I heard a phrase recently that another ministry said the Lord had given them for the new year. It resonated with me.

2021 will be the year of the local church.

I thank God for Christian ministries, teachers and evangelists, that have touched and impacted my life through the years. Our own ministry is a para-church ministry that specializes in biblical teaching specifically to families. We will continue to travel to churches across America preaching the message of family building because that is what we are called to do. But I believe the heart of all ministry should be to build the local church.

The local church is designed to grow people of every age to spiritual maturity.  The local church is called to disciple and grow them up to be productive, fruit bearing Christians in these crazy times we live in. The local church, when done properly, has ministry for every age group and is able to equip every age group according to their unique needs.

I thank God for our local church here in Oklahoma City. As I travel to other churches I share the things we are doing as we grow our church. We have a strong emphasis on ministry to children and I preach the vision of why we do that and how your church can grow a thriving kids ministry.

I also believe this will be a year of greater power in the church. As we are praying about the new year we are asking the Lord for greater power and anointing. We can’t do this alone. It is humanly impossible in the culture we are living in today. We must have the gifts of the spirit and the manifest power of God to reach this generation. I believe that is the will of God, but it won’t happen unless we ask.

Acts 4:29 (NKJV) “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

Acts 4:30 (NKJV) “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

What does 2021 hold? Will the virus continue? Will persecution against the churches be more prevalent? I don’t know. But if we will stay strong in our faith and ask for God’s help, I truly believe He will show up like never before. I really do. But we need His power to get the job done.

Thank you partners for your continued support. 2021. Let’s go.

We love you,

Ken and Trudi
