Family Builders 3
THIS WEEK’S PROJECT
Family Builders
Isaiah 8:18 (KJV) Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
Trudi and I met Jesus supernaturally in 1971. We are probably the least likely people in the history of people to meet Him and experience his power. But we did. Everything about our relationship with Christ has been supernatural.
Trudi had crossed eyes and was supernaturally healed in an hour. I was on the road to alcoholism. It was deeply ingrained in my family. But I was set free and haven’t tasted alcohol in 52 years.
We were not supposed to have children, but we believed a promise in Psalm 113:9…He makes the barren woman a joyful mother of children. We have 2:children because of it. Thank God we have a supernatural God.
Action
Trudi and I desperately wanted our children to know God in the same way that we have. We have prayed this verse over our children for many years. Then we prayed it over our grandchildren as they came along. We have now entered the time that we pray this over our great grandchildren. Our heart is that we want our children to know God in a supernatural way.
We are living in the most desperate of times. Without a supernatural move of the Holy Spirit we are in trouble. I encourage you to speak this verse over your children. Do it daily. Pray it in the face of the troubles they face. Pray it when it doesn’t look like it’s working because the situation is impossible. Pray it and don’t give up.
I have a preacher friend that says it this way: What began with a miracle is sustained by a miracle and will end with a miracle. I like that. Your prayers for your family are powerful. May your home and the homes of your children be full of the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
