Does your family have VISION?

1 month down already. My, how time flies. We pray that your year is going well. Trudi and I spent some time last month in prayer and fasting for 21 days. The Lord has been talking to us about the importance of getting specific about what we are trusting God for and writing down our goals.

Habakkuk 2:2 tells us to “write the vision…make it plain.” When we write down what we want to see happen it gives our dream definition. When we define the specifics of the dream then we can communicate to others what we need to do to achieve these goals. Habakkuk 2:2 tells us that we write it down so “people can run with it.”

We write our goals down so that the people we partner with can see on paper where we want to go and can come into clear agreement with us. Life is all about people working together, teams that accomplish God’s purposes.

Marriage is a team. It’s important to discuss as a husband and wife what you would like to see happen in your marriage. What are you trusting God for this year concerning your finances, your children, your relationship growing, maybe even your intimacy? That is such an important part of your marriage. Discuss it and write down your goals. If you don’t have a vision you will go nowhere. Talk vision and put it on paper.

The church is a team. I am the family pastor at our church, New Song in Oklahoma City. The last few days I have been reviewing how we are doing things and getting very specific about the vision for each department that I am over. Then I am communicating with our leaders so that everybody can move forward with a clear agenda. It removes the grey area. The more specific we are about our vision the more unified we are to accomplish it.

God has great things for you, your family, your church your ministry, and your business in 2019. What is it? I don’t know. You need to get with God and let him speak to you concerning the plan for the year. God wants to breathe some new life into you, but you have to seek Him to know what that is. The scripture that precedes Habakkuk 2:2 is verse 1.

Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV) I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.

Spend some time with the Lord. Listen. If He corrects you, obey Him! Don’t let life pass you by. He wants to talk to you. This can be a year like never before. But it’s not up to God. It’s up to you.

Trudi and I continue traveling and preaching in churches across the country. Your financial and spiritual partnership with us is impacting families everywhere that we go.

Thank you and we love you,

Ken and Trudi Blount
