THIS WEEK’S PROJECT
Your Marriage Has an Enemy
Adam and Eve began their marriage in the perfect environment.
This was before the fall. The weather was perfect. They had a wonderful home. They had no bills. Adam didn’t even have to deal with a mother in law! (Just kidding).
So what happened?
They underestimated the fact that they had a spiritual enemy who worked through deception. The serpent is real. He wants to deceive you into thinking that your issues are with each other.
Although we live in this natural world, we must become aware that we have a spiritual enemy. Satan is real and wants to separate us through deception and lies about each other.
When you come under spiritual attack, remember you have authority through Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:4 (NKJV) For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NKJV) Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
Action
Have an honest and open conversation. Ask each other these questions:
- What are you thinking or have thought about me or our marriage that is bothering you?
- Would you classify this as a spiritual attack or something we can work on with natural actions?
We are dedicated to teaching the Word of God to build up families in these troubled days in which we live. For more info on resources that will transform, be sure to check out the tools available in the Family Resources section of our website.
