Marriage
Ecclesiastes 4:12…And a 3 fold cord is not quickly broken.
When two people are married they become one. The only thing comparable to marriage is when you make Jesus your Lord. You become one in Him. It’s hard to wrap your mind around it. The Bible calls it a mystery.
Marriage is the same. Two people become one in the sight of God. That’s why the devil fights marriage so hard. He sees it as a threat. He will constantly work to divide you and bring confusion to keep you in turmoil. There is no record of the devil coming around in the garden of Eden until Adam and Eve got married. He saw this new marriage as a threat to his plan. We have to learn to recognize the lies he tells us about each other. They will come.
Action
Don’t do this casually. Set aside a time that you can be vulnerable and honest with each other and ask the question: What lie is the devil trying to sell us about each other? When it is exposed you will be able to deal with it and squash it’s power against you.
