Family Builders Teenagers 3

THIS WEEK’S PROJECT

Family Builders

Isaiah 8:18 (KJV) Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Teenagers

Know the friends that are in your teenagers lives. This is so critical. Many parents today are unaware of the people that their teenagers hang out with. At this age of life, friends are everything. Friends influence us for good or bad.

“Be not deceived: evil companions corrupt good character.”

1 Corinthians 15:33 JUBILEE BIBLE

Action

Your teenagers need friends. It is critical that they have the right ones. No matter where they go to school; public, private, home school, Co-op, whatever, they need a church and student ministry if they are going to build healthy relationships. The first thing to understand is that we all need a strong local church to be plugged into.

Hebrews 10:25 AMPLIFIED “not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ’s return] approaching.”

Notice: some people may not think this is that big a deal in our day. But it is. Parents, teenagers, children, all of us, need a strong local church that preaches the truth and welcomes the presence of God. Your teenagers are impressionable and it is critical that they hang out with people that believe the Bible and love Jesus like they do. As a family, go to church together faithfully. It is especially important in the days we live in.

My granddaughter, 17, just received Jesus this year, now is struggling with commitment. Her boyfriend is not a Christian or from that upbringing.
