Honor
One of the most powerful principles to understand about building a strong marriage is to give honor to each other.
Although honor is a two way street, God has designed husbands to lead in the marriage covenant.
1 Peter 3:7 (NLT) “In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives.”
Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
The Greek word for honor is ‘ti’ me’. It means to fix a value upon or to establish worth.
The English word translates to time. Simply, honor is giving each other quality time.
