Marriage

Ecclesiastes 4:12…And a 3 fold cord is not quickly broken.

“So why am I having so much difficulty in my marriage? I love my spouse, but we just can’t seem to get along. What is our problem?” Yes, we need to learn secrets about how men and women think and we need to work on our communication skills, but our problems are not just natural issues. There is a real devil that works to divide us. He hates your marriage and is doing all he can to separate it.

You have to realize there are spirits that work against you at times. There is never a hint of the devil coming around in the Bible until Adam and Eve got married. But immediately after the wedding (Genesis 3) here comes the serpent to try to split up this newly married couple. Why?

He saw this marriage as a threat to his kingdom. We’ve got to realize the battles we sometimes wage are not against each other, but spirits that try to divide us. (2 Corinthians 10:4.)

Action

Identify some of the important issues that you are dealing with. Find scripture from God’s Word that addresses those issues and pray together for God to help you and give you wisdom. Then pray and take authority over any foreign spirits that may be trying to work against you. Bind their influence from coming against you, in Jesus name!
